Meetings during this crisis will be held via Skype on the first Tuesday of the month (next meeting 8th September). Should any parishioner wish to participate in any of these meetings, please contact the Clerk to register.
Parisioners are able to contact members of the Council as usual.

Please see below the Covid-19 Business Continuity Arrangements which will remain in place until restrictions have been lifted.
In accordance with Government guidelines, West Meon play equipment at the recreation ground and Meonwara Crescent together with the adult outdoor gym equipment and table tennis table can be used by parishioners from Saturday, 4th July 2020.
All users of the recreation ground, play equipment, outdoor gym and table tennis table must still follow current guidance on social distancing of 1 metre when using or waiting to use equipment and where appropriate wear protective coverings of gloves and face mask. Users should take gel or soaps to clean the equipment before and after use where possible and appropriate. Any discarded gloves, face coverings or other waste should be put into the bins provided at the recreation ground.
WMPC wants all parishioners to be safe and enjoy the outdoors. Please ensure you use the equipment safely and considerately and protect yourself and others from possible Covid19 infection. If users have any concerns they should contact The Clerk using the details in the Parish News, website or noticeboard.
At this time all residents should be following the Government’s public health guidance on social distancing to help reduce the spread of the virus.
West Meon Village Community Shop
In accordance with Government guidelines, with effect from Friday, 24th July 2020 any customers entering the shop will be required to wear a face covering.
We would like to thank all our loyal customers, many of who are new to the shop, for their support and custom during these unsettled times.
We continue to work hard to provide a covid safe environment for our customers, shop staff and volunteers. We feel that with the general relaxation of restrictons, the time has come to work towards opening the shop up once again for customers. You will notice some changes. There will be hand sanitiser at the door and also at the till point and we would ask all our customers to use this. We will have a one way system operating around the shop and clear 2m markers on the floor. Please keep your distance from other customers. We will continue to limit customers to two; one in the shop and one at the till.
We pride ourselves on the wide range of items that we stock and look forward to having you back in the shop to browse. We try to source as much as we can locally and have brilliant local suppliers of bread (Happy Toast), eggs (Lycroft), fish (Chalk Stream Trout), cheese (Lyburn) and vegetables (Bryant Brothers) to name but a few.
We are a community shop and we rely on the loyalty of our customers to stay open. We hope that you will not only use us during this crisis but also continue to use the shop when this is over.
We have also extended our opening hours as follows:

A.G. Axton & Sons
As a direct result of the current pandemic crisis, AG Axton & Sons are offering a *FREE* home delivery service to any resident living in the Meon Valley area. The service has been designed specifically to service the needs of those who are self-isolating or anyone who simply wishes to reduce the number of times they need to leave the home to do their shopping. Members of the public are able to order most items of fresh fruit and vegetables that they would normally purchase from the supermarket/greengrocers plus a growing number of other essentials such as bread, milk eggs etc. This list of "other essentials" is growing all the time and the customer can enquire and check availability at the point of ordering. There is a minimum order quantity of £25. At this moment in time, the way this works is for the customer to ring and speak to a member of staff who will take all essential details over the phone, i.e the customer's order, name, address and telephone number. Payment is made at the point of ordering by card over the telephone and a receipt for the payment can be sent by text message or e-mail straight away. An itemised invoice is received along with the goods. They are currently developing an online ordering system which they hope will be up and running shortly, although everything will be able to be done by phone for those who prefer to speak directly to someone.
For further details or to place an order, please telephone 01487 878000
